Dr. Damjan Kalajdievski

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Mila, jointly supervised by Blake Richards and Yoshua Bengio. I previously did my Phd in set theory at York University under Juris Steprans, and my masters in mathematics at University of Ottawa under Vladimir Pestov. My interest in mathematics is quite general, and is now focused on the goal of "smarter" models in machine learning. The human brain is the best known example of a "smarter" model, and it is very natural to focus effort on the intersecton of Neuroscience and AI towards this goal. Other than research I enjoy fun if I can.
